Training workshop on Wild Felid Monitoring and Data Management (28th-29th April 2025)

Bhutan Ecological Society in collaboration with the Nature Conservation Division, Department of Forests and Park Services, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources is organizing a two-day training workshop on Wild Felid Monitoring and Data Management from 28-29th April 2025 in Paro.

 

The key objectives of the project are to:

  • Monitor wild felid presence & activityin Jigme Dorji National Park, Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park, Wangchuck Centennial National Park and Thimphu Divisional Forest Office
  • Assessthe health and ecological requirements of Felid species, and identify critical threats
  • Strengthen Education, outreach, community engagementto Raise public awareness about the importance of wild felids in Bhutan’s ecosystem. 

 

This activity is part of the larger Bhutan Wild Cat Health Project, jointly implemented by Bhutan Ecological Society, Department of Forests and Park Services and the Felidae Conservation Fund.

The project is supported by the Felidae Conservation Fund, USA and the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund.
