The six-week School for Field Studies (SFS) Bhutan Summer Program was commenced on 4 June 2026, with orientation sessions covering general and academic policies. A total of 24 undergraduate students from 11 colleges and universities across the United States arrived yesterday to participate in the program.

 

The SFS Summer Program is centered on the theme “Forests in the Land of the Thunder Dragon,” through which students will explore topics related to forests, biodiversity, conservation, natural resource management, and sustainable development.

 

The program is jointly hosted by the College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan, the Bhutan Ecological Society, and the SFS headquarters based in the United States.
