Damcho Rinzin is the Chief Tourism Officer in the Marketing and Promotion Division, Department of Tourism. He has a Bachelor of Applied Management in Hospitality and Tourism from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. He is a lifetime member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, Canada. He started his career with the then Department of Tourism as a researcher and marketing officer in 2006. He takes pride and keen interest in promoting the ‘high value’ tourism policy of Bhutan. He completed his double master’s degree from Australia in international tourism and business where he was awarded the Academic Excellence Medal by the university. Damcho is dedicated to strengthening tourism development in Bhutan and has presented and spoken in many national and international forums on marketing, tourism, and branding.
