Dr. Lindsay Skog is the Executive Director of the Karuna Foundation in Portland, Oregon, USA. Karuna Foundation supports visionary organizations in developing countries working to both mitigate carbon emissions and help human populations and the ecosystems they rely on to adapt to climate change. Dr. Skog brings many years of experience working and living in the Eastern Himalaya. Prior to joining Karuna Foundation, Dr. Skog taught Critical Geography courses at several US universities and colleges, as well as with the School for Field Studies Program in Bhutan. Her research and expertise focuses on the social dimensions of climate change in the Himalaya. Dr. Skog holds a PhD in Geography from The University of Colorado at Boulder and was a Fulbright Scholar in Nepal.
