Her Royal Highness Princess Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck, the royal patron of BES graced the tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing between the Bhutan Ecological Society (BES), Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research (UWICER), and the School for Field Studies (SFS), a non-profit NGO based in US, yesterday, 11th of December 2017 at Hotel Taj Tashi in Thimphu.

The trilateral agreement will provide field-based environmental and ecological education, hands-on research experience to US undergraduates, Bhutanese students, and also an opportunity for Bhutanese scholars to collaborate with the American counterparts.

The MoU was signed by the Secretary of MoAF, Dasho Rinzin Dorji on behalf of UWICER, Dr. James Cramer, President of SFS and Dr. Nawang Norbu, the Vice-president of BES. The new partnership is expected to further strengthen research and environmental education in Bhutan.
