Fifth Jigme Singye Wangchuck Outstanding Environmental Stewardship Award
Bhutan is increasingly regarded as a Champion of Environmental Protection. Under the farsighted leadership of His Majesty the Fourth King, Bhutan has crafted a visionary constitution which accords the protection of our environment the highest priority. To honour the legacy of His Majesty, the Jigme Singye Wangchuck Award for Outstanding Environmental Stewardship is conferred once every two years to individuals, institutions and communities who have gone beyond the call-of-duty to protect and conserve our environment.
